What is Hypnotherapy and is it right for me?Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that uses guided relaxation, intense concentration, and focused attention to help individuals achieve a heightened state of awareness, often referred to as a trance. In this state, the mind is more open to suggestion, making it easier for the individual to access and process emotions, memories, and thoughts that may be contributing to certain challenges or behaviors. Hypnotherapy can be effective in treating a wide range of conditions, including stress, anxiety, phobias, smoking cessation, weight management, and even chronic pain. It works by helping you tap into your subconscious mind to address deep-seated patterns, beliefs, and habits that may be affecting your overall well-being. It is not about being "put under" or losing control, but rather achieving a focused and relaxed state where positive change can take place. Is Hypnotherapy Right for Me? Hypnotherapy may be beneficial if you are looking to: Break free from limiting habits or thought patterns. Address underlying emotional issues such as anxiety, trauma, or stress. Improve your mental clarity or emotional well-being. Make positive changes in behaviors such as smoking, overeating, or insomnia. However, hypnotherapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution. It may not be suitable for individuals with certain mental health conditions, such as psychosis, or those who are unwilling to engage in the process. Before committing, we will consult with a one another and assess your specific needs and determine if hypnotherapy is a good fit for you. If you're open to exploring new avenues for healing and personal growth, hypnotherapy could be a valuable tool in your journey toward well-being.

What does Hypnosis feel like?Hypnosis often feels like a deeply relaxed, focused state of mind, somewhere between being awake and dreaming. People experience it differently, but here are some common sensations and feelings you might have during a hypnosis session: Deep Relaxation: Most people report feeling incredibly calm and relaxed. It's similar to the feeling of being in a trance-like state when you're daydreaming or in that half-asleep phase right before you drift off to sleep. Heightened Focus: While you’re deeply relaxed, your mind becomes more focused. It’s like having a laser-sharp attention on a particular thought, idea, or suggestion, which allows you to explore feelings or thoughts that might be difficult to access in your everyday state of mind. Altered Awareness: Some people feel like they’re more aware of their inner thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations, while others may feel detached from their surroundings, almost like they're observing themselves from a distance. You’ll typically still be aware of your therapist’s voice or any sounds around you, but you may feel more "inside" your own experience. Time Distortion: It's common for people to lose track of time during hypnosis. You may feel like the session is over much faster than it actually is, or sometimes it can feel like time has slowed down. A Sense of Control: While you're in a relaxed state, you're not completely unconscious or “out of control.” Most people describe it as a state where they feel in control, yet more open to positive suggestions. You can always choose to come out of the trance at any time if needed. Physical Sensations: Some people feel their body become heavier or lighter, or they might experience tingling or warmth. These sensations are just your body relaxing and releasing tension. Everyone’s experience is unique, so you may feel any combination of these or even something different. Hypnosis isn’t about being "out of control"—it’s really about accessing a calm, focused state where you’re more open to positive suggestions that help you make lasting changes.
